Empowering and partnering with families is a high value at DPFBC.  The average child will spend 0ver 1000 hours every year in school and they will spend less than 75 hours in church.  The average parent has more than 10 times the opportunities to discuss spiritual issues in one year than a church leader does in 10 years.  We want you to know how to talk to your children about God because what happens at home is as important as what happens at church. Our hope is that families will use the following tools and talk about what we teach all week long.  We want to help you make every moment count! 

God Time (for kids)

Four short devotions for children each week to focus their attention as they spend time reading the Bible and talking to God at home.  Kids pick up their God Time books during Sunday School to help them establish a lifelong habit of spending regular time with God.

Fridge Door (for parents)

Your children are also given a printed piece each week that gives you the virtue and its definition, a monthly memory verse, the bottom line, a question to prompt discussion and a preview of what we’ll be talking about next week.

Family Times Kit

The Family Times Kit is a resource designed to provide you with a tool to teach kids about faith and character.  It synchronizes with the same virtues and Bible stories taught each week in TEAM 252.  “Family Times” has conversation starters for meal time, Bible stories for bedtimes, and creative skits on CD for drive-time.  You can get more information and subscribe to “Family Times” at www.familytimes.org
