What to expect on Sunday Morning:

7:45 am       Childcare for Early Service

9:20 am       Sunday School

10:40 am     Extended Teaching Care

Infants

We know that leaving your new baby for the first time can be overwhelming.  The volunteers in our infant classrooms have been chosen for this age group because of their love for babies and desire to care for the needs of your infant.

When packing a diaper bag, please clearly label each item with the child’s name and include a change of clothes, disposable diapers/training pants, wipes, pacifiers, and a bottle or juice cup.

We offer a paging system for parents on Sunday mornings.

We have a special room provided for the mother’s of nursing babies.  This room is conveniently located adjacent to our youngest babies’ classroom.

Toddlers—Pre-Kindergarten

We believe that it is our responsibility to introduce preschoolers to their Heavenly Father. So before they leave for Kindergarten, we want them to know:

  • God loves them,
  • God made them, and
  • Jesus wants to be their friend forever.

Every month we focus on one of these three basic truths.  Each week your children will learn a Bible story and participate in fun, creative activities that teach the key truth for the month.

Extended Teaching Care:

Extended Teaching Care (ETC) Ministry is a special service to parents, grandparents, and guardians of children ages Birth through Pre-K.  Extended Teaching Care provides the opportunity to repeat the biblical truths, songs and Bible verses that are presented to the children during the 9:20 Sunday School hour.  For children who can come only at the 10:45 worship time, this will be their opportunity to hear the morning’s Bible story.

All parents of preschoolers are asked to serve in this ministry on a rotating basis during the 10:45 worship time.  If you have not scheduled your ETC time or if you are a new member of DPFBC, contact Kathryn Raffetto at 281-479-2391 x114 or email her at kraffetto@dpfbc.org.

Security:

DPFBC takes the physical security of your child very seriously. For this reason, we have a security system in place for all preschool children, including those in Kindergarten. Parents are required to use our check-in and check-out procedure to ensure that children are picked up only by authorized adults. Any time a child is left in the preschool area, parents are required to sign their children in and to provide information on where they can be located in case an emergency arises.  All children, for whom care is provided, must be accompanied by an information card so that teachers will know how to contact a parent or guardian.
