At DPFBC, we believe the Bible should never be boring, worship can be energetic (even loud), and that good leaders always care. Our foundation comes from Luke 2:52.
“And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature and in favor with God and men.”
Luke 2:52
By the time your child leaves their elementary years we want to make sure three things stick:
- I need to make the wise choice.
- I can trust God no matter what.
- I should treat others the way I want to be treated.
These three basic truths are amplified through 36 monthly virtues (such as kindness, discipline, and honor) and 150 Bible stories. Every week there is a key TRUTH or bottom line that we drive home.
What to expect on Sunday morning:
On Sunday mornings, we want kids to see how God’s Word fits into their lives, to learn to talk to him, and to build friendships that last. Here’s what a typical Sunday morning in Team 252 looks like.
TEAM 252 (9:20 am)
Our small group classes are divided by grade level and meet upstairs in the Children’s Area. In a classroom setting, children are taught to apply Bible truths to their lives. Through creative and kid-friendly activities, children learn how a book called the Bible can transform everyday life.
PowerHouse (10:45 am)
PowerHouse is a fast, noisy, zany, kid-focused high-energy time of worship and teaching. PowerHouse is led by rotating teams of volunteering church members. If you would like to volunteer in PowerHouse, contact the Children’s Ministry office.
